TWENTY-SECOND DAY

LOVE IN LIFE

            Spirit loq. You desire to behold too much, and your brain runs away with what we would express, and causes the fatigue you feel. We will say what we can express through you in our own words, and fear not that we shall help to develop and not hinder your intuitional faculties. We want to give the world these words. We can see better than you can, how we can best express truth through you. All you have to do is to keep warm your faith and love, and to see that action in you does not belie them. You do believe in love, and until we can more clearly express its being to you, be content to manifest all you can see of it, and despair not that God will show you more of the nature of love in His own time – through His own means. You are not alone. Neither is your strength dependent on yourself, but on your faith in God, or good.

            What men and women need is a sense of the endless supply of power and love and help there is around them all in their earth lives. Must it not be so if those lives are for their education, their evolution to higher things? “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word

which proceeded out of the mouth of God”, refers to this, man’s need of spiritual nutrition. Wherever growth is, there is the wherewithal to grow.

            Your idea that the influence of such as we are, can injure you or make you too dependent and will-less, is untrue. What is influence, and what is there on earth that resists it? What is life apart from influence? All life is influenced in one or other direction, by one or other means, and we are a means in Earth’s growth as your lives shall prove and have proved. If you experience, or if others around you experience, increased evil in your life, less of love, less of strength to resist evil, than shall you question this again. If your husband feels in you a self-centered coldness and isolation, a lack of sympathy in his life; if your children behold in you a diminution of your loving care; if your servants toil on beholding you regardless of their efforts and of their lives; if your friends, your neighbors, rich or poor, feel you powerless for good in their lives, then shall you return to seek treasures on Earth, and part from us your dearest friends; then shall we too depart, saddened at your want of faith, at your lack of answering love. Love is truly what you need. Pray for it, desire it, and feel too that it lies unmanifest as God within you, and within all man, feel that it must be manifested sooner or later. If you can manifest it sooner, then sooner too shall others do so in their lives, and sooner shall these words of promise to Earth prove that they are written in the Divine handwriting, and are not of mortal origin.
